Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
The Sibley Heart Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta has one of the largest dedicated cardiac ICUs in the country with 27 total beds, as well as a 27-bed cardiac step-down unit and a 10-bed catheterization lab recovery area. In 2013, the hospital performed 880 heart surgeries, treating more pediatric inpatient cardiac cases than any other hospital in Georgia. In March, Children’s SHC joined forces with Emory Healthcare to launch the Congenital Heart Center of Georgia to provide comprehensive cardiac care for patients throughout their lives and smooth the transition from pediatric to adult care. Children’s Hospital of Atlanta is ranked No. 4 in the nation for pediatrics cardiology and heart surgery by U.S. News & World Report for 2014-15.
