University of Utah Health (Salt Lake City). Both a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and a member of the nonprofit National Comprehensive Cancer Network, the Huntsman Cancer Institute, part of the University of Utah Health Care, treats patients across Utah and various other mountain states. In 2005, the Institute partnered with Intermountain to begin the Huntsman-Intermountain Cancer Care Program, which combines its leadership in laboratory, population sciences and clinical research with Intermountain’s recognized expertise in clinical quality improvement and program development to determine optimal approaches for cancer treatment. It is recognized as a Blue Distinction Center for Complex & Rare Cancers.
