Ohio State’s Arthur G. James Cancer Center and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (Columbus). The OSU Comprehensive Cancer Center-Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute features a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, an aligned academic medical center and the Midwest’s only freestanding cancer hospital. The hospital has more than 200 oncologists who all specialize in just one type of cancer. “The James” was ranked among the best in the country for cancer care by U.S. News & World Report for 2015-16, is Magnet-recognized for excellence in nursing and is also only one of seven in the country funded by the NCI to conduct phase I and phase II clinical trials for new anti-cancer drugs.
