Methodist Stone Oak Hospital, a 140-bed facility established in 2009, is home to the Texas Neurosciences Institute with 39 beds dedicated to PCU/stroke care, 34 surgical beds and 20 ICU beds. The hospital employs five talented neurosurgeons who together have more than a century of experience and 6,000-plus surgeries under their belts. In 2016, the hospital was recognized with the Silver Plus Quality Achievement Award from the American Stroke Association for its effective stroke care, and CareChex ranked Methodist Stone Oak Hospital among the top 20 hospitals in the nation for neurosurgery in 2017.
