Carle Foundation Hospital (Urbana, Ill.). Physicians on the Carle Neuroscience Institute’s neurosurgical team were among the first neurosurgeons to record meningiomas, brain tumors that grow very slowly or not at all. The Carle Neuroscience Institute also supports 29 studies and three clinical trials in addition to 12 collaborative studies with University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign researchers and faculty. The hospital achieved DNV Primary Stroke Care Accreditation and is designated as a Level 1 trauma center by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
