Long Island Jewish Medical Center (New Hyde Park, N.Y.).Long Island Jewish Medical Center houses the Katz Women's Hospital, where clinicians deliver more than 7,000 babies annually. The 524-bed nonprofit teaching hospital, part of New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Northwell Health, contains a respite newborn nursery, a constant observation newborn nursery, and a diagnostic and treatment unit, which doubles as an emergency department for pregnant women. CareChex recognized Long Island Jewish Medical Center as one of the top 100 hospitals in the nation for patient safety in women's health in 2018.
