Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville (Fla.). Baptist Medical Center is a faith-based, community-owned nonprofit health system with specialized women's health facilities, particularly for maternal and fetal care and cancer treatment. Baptist Medical Center is home to Wolfson Children's, which includes a Level II NICU, and its system hospitals are outfitted with private, spacious birthing suites, separate postpartum rooms and an intensive-care labor area for high-risk deliveries. Baptist Medical Center is also dedicated to other aspects of women's health, such as cancer. Through its partnership with MD Anderson, the system placed the final steel beams for a new nine-story facility for Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center. The project will triple the size of the current facility and is expected to be complete in June 2018. The medical center earned two Women's Choice Awards for Best Breast Center and Best Hospital for Obstetrics.
