Thomas Balcezak, MD. CMO of Yale-New Haven (Conn.) Hospital. Dr. Balcezak served as senior vice president and chief quality officer for Yale-New Haven Hospital before being appointed CMO in September 2016. As CMO, Dr. Balcezak is responsible for medical staff affairs administration, graduate medical education, patient safety and clinical quality, accreditation and regulatory readiness, the hospitalist service and care management. He earned his medical degree from Storrs-based University of Connecticut and holds a master’s in public health from Yale University in New Haven.
