Tim Thompson. Senior Vice President and CIO of BayCare Health System (Clearwater, Fla.). Mr. Thompson has served as CIO of BayCare since September 2010. Prior to that, he was senior vice president and CIO of Methodist Hospital System in Houston. At Methodist, Mr. Thompson launched a health information exchange. He also previously held the CIO role at both Adventist Health System in Orlando, Fla., and Palmetto Health in Columbia, S.C. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and is a member of CHIME and HIMSS.
