Billings (Mont.) Clinic. Billings Clinic is the No. 1 hospital in Montana, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2015-16 rankings, and the largest healthcare organization in the state. This physician-led, integrated multispecialty group practice includes a 304-bed hospital, Level II trauma center and a 90-bed skilled nursing and assisted living facility. Billings Clinic is also one of the largest employers in Montana, with approximately 4,000 employees, including more than 400 physicians and advanced practitioners offering expertise in more than 50 specialties.

The history of Billings Clinic dates back to 1911, when Arthur J. Movius, MD, founded his Billings practice. In 1993, the Billings Clinic and Deaconess Medical Center merged to become an integrated healthcare organization named Deaconess Billings Clinic, reverting the name back to Billings Clinic in 2005.

Today, Billings Clinic provides inpatient and outpatient care to people in Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota. The hospital has partnerships across the region, a membership with the Mayo Clinic Care Network and management agreements with 11 critical access hospitals. The organization was the first in Montana to receive Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and was named among the 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics in 2016.
