Mercy Regional Medical Center (Durango, Colo.). Mercy Regional Medical Center, part of Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health, is a nonprofit 82-bed acute care hospital. The Sisters of Mercy opened the medical center as a six-bed hospital in 1882 that continued to grow until 2006 when its current facility opened. The hospital earned Healthgrades’ 2017 Patient Safety Excellence Award and, for the ninth consecutive year, the 2017 Outstanding Patient Experience Award.
