Franklin Woods Community Hospital (Johnson City, Tenn.). An 80-bed, nonprofit hospital, Franklin Woods Community Hospital opened in 2010. The 240,000-square-foot facility features walls of native stone and healing gardens, earning it a place on Soliant Health’s 2016 Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals. The hospital earned the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Pathway to Excellence designation as well as the U.S. Green Building Council’s Silver level LEED-certified hospital designation. Franklin Woods was the first hospital in Tennessee to earn The Joint Commission’s Perinatal Care Certification.
