Bear River Valley Hospital (Tremonton, Utah). Bear River Valley Hospital’s roots date back to 1923 when a physician opened The Whitlock Hospital in a two-story home in Garland, Utah. Today, the 16-bed hospital is part of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare. Bear River Valley Hospital is a Level IV trauma center. In 2016, the National Rural Health Association named the hospital among the Top 20 Rural Community Hospitals in the U.S.
