Alhambra (Calif.) Hospital Medical Center. Alhambra Hospital Medical Center is the first solely Chinese-owned hospital in Southern California. The 144-bed general acute care hospital was established in 1924 and moved to its current location in 1974. Alhambra Hospital has 600 employees and maintains a professional staff of more than 300 physicians across 32 specialties. In 2016, Truven Health Analytics named it among the 100 Top Hospitals in the nation.
