FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital (Pinehurst, N.C.). This 387-bed hospital, the flagship facility for FirstHealth of the Carolinas, serves as the referral center for a 15-county region in North Carolina and South Carolina. Moore Regional opened in 1929. Today it includes an active medical staff of 249 physicians, a professional staff of more than 2,700 and an average of 750 volunteers. The hospital was named as a Truven 100 Top Hospital in 2016.
