Cedar City (Utah) Hospital. Cedar City Hospital, formerly Valley View Medical Center, is part of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare. The 48-bed hospital opened as a replacement hospital for Iron County Hospital in 1963. Since then, it has grown and accumulated numerous recognitions and accolades, such as inclusion on Truven’s 100 Top Hospitals list six times, most recently in 2015, and on iVantage’s 2016 Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals list.
