Michigan Pioneer ACO (Southfield, Mich.). Affiliated with Detroit Medical Center, Michigan Pioneer ACO is one of nine remaining participants in CMS’ Pioneer program. The ACO generated the fourth greatest sum in shared savings, $9.82 million, through the program in 2014. Michigan Pioneer was the most successful Pioneer ACO for benchmark savings improvement year-over-year. The ACO covers more than 20,000 Medicare beneficiaries.
