The system reported revenue of $587.9 million for the third quarter of fiscal year 2015, down from revenue of $600.8 million in the same period of last year.
Baptist Health South Florida saw its expenses grow to $593 million in the third quarter of this year, up from expenses of $526.1 million for the comparable period of 2014. The system’s expenses related to wages, salaries and benefits grew to $323.3 million in the third quarter of 2015, up from $294.8 million in the comparable period of last year.
The system also took a hit on its investments, which caused it to end the third quarter with a net loss of $17.3 million, compared to a net surplus of $165 million in the same period of 2014.
