APIC names Children’s Hospital Colorado epidemiologist as president

The Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology has announced Susan A. Dolan, RN, hospital epidemiologist at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, will serve as the organization’s 2016 president.

In addition to her role at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Ms. Dolan is a healthcare-associated infection public policy advocate. She has also served APIC in a number of capacities, providing consultation and education to APIC members, as well as professionals from all over the healthcare spectrum.

“We are pleased that Susan Dolan will lead our association as 2016 president,” said Katrina Crist, CEO of APIC. “Her experience, knowledge and passion for infection prevention position her well to lead APIC and to advance APIC’s mission of creating a safer world through the prevention of infection.”
