7 Georgia hospitals with the cleanest rooms, as reported by patients

The following is a list of hospitals in Georgia for which 81 percent or more of patients reported that their room and bathroom were "always" clean on their HCAHPS surveys.

Data were pulled from CMS' Hospital Compare and is from January 2014 through December 2014, the most recent data available.

For reference, Georgia's average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were "always" clean is 71 percent. The national average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were "always" clean is 74 percent.

Note: Hospitals with insufficient data, such as having fewer than 100 completed surveys, were excluded.

1. Upson Regional Medical Center (Thomaston) — 86 percent

2. Northside Medical Center (Columbus) — 84 percent

3. Southeastern Regional Medical Center (Newnan) — 84 percent

4. Gordon Hospital (Calhoun) — 82 percent

5. Jefferson Hospital (Louisville) — 82 percent

6. Northside Hospital Forsyth (Cumming) — 81 percent

7. Southeast Georgia Health System-Camden Campus (St. Marys) — 81 percent
