5 Indiana hospitals with the cleanest rooms, as reported by patients

The following is a list of hospitals in Indiana for which 86 percent or more of patients reported that their room and bathroom were "always" clean on their HCAHPS surveys.

Data were pulled from CMS' Hospital Compare and are from April 2014 through March 2015, the most recent data available.

For reference, Indiana's average rate for patients reporting their room and bathroom were "always" clean is 76 percent. The national average rate is 74 percent.

Note: Hospitals with insufficient data, such as having fewer than 100 completed surveys, were excluded.

1. Parkview Wabash (Ind.) Hospital — 90 percent

2. OrthoIndy Hospital (Indianapolis) — 88 percent

3. Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health-Crawfordsville (Ind.) — 87 percent

4. Community Hospital of Bremen (Ind.) — 86 percent

5. Pulaski Memorial Hospital (Winamac) — 86 percent
