4 Nevada hospitals with top nurse-patient communication scores

The following hospitals in Nevada received top marks on patients' HCAHPS surveys for nurse communication.

At least 76 percent of patients at these four hospitals responded on their surveys that nurses always communicated well. In Nevada, the average is 73 percent, lower than the national average of 80 percent.

The figures are from CMS' Hospital Compare website and represent HCAHPS scores collected from July 2015 through June 2016, the most recent data available.

Note: Hospitals with fewer than 100 completed surveys were excluded from consideration for this list.

Renown South Meadows Medical Center (Reno) — 83 percent

Mesa View Regional Hospital (Mesquite) — 82 percent

Carson Valley Medical Center (Gardnerville) — 78 percent

Desert Springs Hospital (Las Vegas) — 76 percent
