The top social media sites used by clinicians for job searches are:

•    LinkedIn — 58 percent
•    Facebook — 42 percent
•    Google+ — 40 percent
•    HealtheCareers — 37 percent
•    Blogs/Forums — 25 percent
•    Miracles Workers — 18 percent

Though 42 percent of all surveyed clinicians used social media sites to job hunt, website use varied by specific profession. For example, just 28 percent of physicians reported using social media sites, while 47 percent of pharmacists did the same.

Survey data is based on responses from 1,902 clinicians.
