Senate Majority Leader: 'I'm not sure frankly what happens next' on healthcare

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., said he is dissatisfied with the stalemate on healthcare, but Congress has to move on to other priorities, while speaking at a Rotary Club event in Florence, Ky., according to Cincinnati.com.

"I'm not happy about our inability to dramatically change Obamacare, so I'm not sure frankly what happens next," he said, according to the report. Mr. McConnell said he would gladly return to the healthcare debate if at least 50 senators can agree on a policy, according to the report. In the meantime, lawmakers plan to move on to addressing the debt ceiling and tax reform.

"I'm unsure as to what the path forward is right now," Mr. McConnell said, according to the report. "I think no action is probably not going to work because you've got a lot of private health insurance markets imploding. So, exactly what form that takes is unclear right now."
