Permit data shows just how lucrative Mar-a-Lago charity events can be

President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Fla., hosts dozens of high profile fundraisers every year, including those for some of the nation's largest healthcare organizations.

Listed below are five organizations that raised the most money of companies in the healthcare sector during their 2016 fundraising events at Mar-a-Lago, according to The Chronicle of Philanthropy.

These figures come from permit applications organizations filed with the Town of Palm Beach when seeking to rent Mar-a-Lago. Most figures represent money raised during one event, although some may include fundraising totals from additional gatherings at the Trump property or other Palm Beach venues.

2. Cleveland Clinic: $1.3 million

3. Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure: $1.1 million
