15 healthcare companies on Fortune's Global 500 list

Fortune has released its annual Global 500 list, a compilation of the world's 500 largest companies.

The list measures each company based on its total revenue for its fiscal year ended on or before March 31, 2016. In total, the companies named to the list this year — which span 33 countries — generated $27.6 trillion in revenues and employed 67 million individuals in 2015.

Here are the 15 healthcare and pharmaceutical companies that were named to Fortune's Global 500 list.
