MidHudson Regional names associate director of medical affairs: 7 things to know

Poughkeepsie, N.Y.-based MidHudson Regional Hospital, a member of the WMCHealth Network, has hired Lance Bruck, MD, as associate director of medical affairs. 

Here are seven things to know about Dr. Bruck.

1. In his new role, he will be responsible for all clinical activities at the hospital. He will also be responsible for continuing to bring medical professionals backed by New York Medical College to MidHudson Regional's community hospital environment, according to a news release.

2. Dr. Bruck has more than three decades of combined clinical and administrative experience.

3. He joins MidHudson Regional from the Yale Medical Group and Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, Conn., where he served as an attending physician in the division of gynecologic oncology. 

4. Previously, he was executive director of the Stamford (Conn.) Healthcare Alliance and president and CEO of Stamford Health Integrated Practices. Prior to that, Dr. Bruck was chairman of the department of obstetrics and gynecology for the Stamford Health System. 

5. Before arriving in Connecticut, Dr. Bruck was vice chairman of the department of obstetrics, gynecology and women's health with New York City-based North Bronx Healthcare Network. 

6. Dr. Bruck received his Bachelors of Science in biology and philosophy from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Penn., and his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla.

7. He has served on Muhlenberg's board of trustees since 2011.
