Moody’s Investors Service recently affirmed Sarasota County Public Hospital District’s “A1” long-term rating due to the district’s dominant market share, investment growth and consistently strong operating profitability. Moody’s also affirmed a stable outlook for the district.
Mr. Woeltjen has served as CFO and treasurer of the health system since November 2010. His responsibilities include overseeing matters related to the revenue cycle, reimbursement, debt management and managed care contracting. He also oversees financial reporting and planning.
Before joining the Sarasota Memorial finance department in 2007, Mr. Woeltjen was corporate treasurer and CFO of University Community Health, now known as Florida Hospital Tampa. He holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and management from Tulane University. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Florida.
