Sleepy Eye Medical Center to go live on Meditech EHR

Sleepy Eye (Minn.) Medical Center will go live on the Meditech 6.1 EHR system at midnight on Dec. 1, according to The Sleepy Eye Herald-Dispatch.

However, the new online patient portal won’t be available until January.

The conversion and implementation process took more than 16 months.

“Standardization and integration were goals by all involved from day one. As a team, we reviewed regulatory requirements for healthcare and incorporated them into Meditech’s latest technology system. This, in turn, will allow us to spend more time with our patients,” said Rachel Severson, SEMC’s director of health information management.
