Sentara, CipherHealth launch new technology to support quality improvement

Sentara Healthcare, based in Norfolk, Va., and health technology company CipherHealth, based in New York, have partnered to launch Orchid, a software technology designed to provide real-time data collection during rounding.

Orchid was initially launched as pilot program at two Sentara sites and played a role in significantly improving HCAHPS scores. Based on these results, Orchid will be launched at 10 of 12 Sentara hospitals this year.

Orchid’s features include an intuitive interface, EMR compatibility, streamlined issued management and an analytics platform.
