Under the multi-year partnership, MedStar will collect breast, lung and pancreatic biospecimens, among other cancer tissues, from select cancer programs at various hospitals in the MedStar Health Cancer Network. Researchers will be able to analyze these biospecimens to develop personalized cancer treatments for patients.

The partnership will also enable MedStar researchers to access existing biospecimens and clinical samples housed in Indivumed’s cancer database, which comprise data contributed by more than 30,000 patients in Europe, Asia and the United States.
