Google creates $4M crisis fund

In response to President Donald Trump's executive order placing restrictions on travel and immigration to the U.S. from several Muslim-majority countries, Google has developed a $2 million crisis fund that can be matched with up to $2 million in employee donations, reports CNBC.

Employees can make donations to four organizations: the American Civil Liberties Union, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, the International Rescue Committee and the UNHCR.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced the campaign in a memo. He also claimed the immigration ban will affect at least 187 Google employees.
