Michael Kratsios has been named deputy chief technology officer of the United States, reports TechCrunch.
Mr. Kratsios previously served as chief of staff at Thiel Capital, the San Francisco-based investment firm founded by PayPal cofounder Peter Thiel. Before that, he was CFO of San Francisco-based Clarium Capital Management, another investment company founded by Mr. Thiel.
Alexander Macgillivray previously held the U.S. deputy chief technology officer position.
