Initially, five CHI St. Luke’s hospitals connected to the HIE, and other facilities will connect in the near future.
“Our partnership with Greater Houston Healthconenct is an essential component in CHI’s strategy for growth,” said Michael Covert, CEO of CHI St. Luke’s, in a statement. “As we expand, the HIE enables us to integrate acquired and affiliated facilities internally within our own system, while also accessing care records and images from other providers in the community.”
