Avalere Health hires former Minnesota Dept. of Human Services CIO

Washington, D.C.-based Avalere Health added Scott Peterson to serve as vice president of data architecture. He will work within Avalere’s data analytics and development team.

Previously, Mr. Peterson served as CIO at the Minnesota Department of Human Services. There, he led all aspects of IT processes, including architecting and implementing complex data infrastructure, interoperable systems and health operations applications. He also oversaw the Medicaid Management Information System and Minnesota’s health insurance exchange.

Avalere Health, an Inovalon company, focuses on developing technology platforms and solutions to help healthcare organizations optimize their business.
