The report sampled 385 buyers’ software practices. The majority of respondents — 24 percent — cited ICD-10 and regulatory compliance as the main reason for looking for new software.

2. Current software is too cumbersome — 17 percent
3. Want to integrate electronic health record — 16 percent
4. Want to improve organization and efficiency — 15.5 percent
5. Current software lacks features or functionality — 13 percent
6. Current software is glitchy — 10.5 percent
7. Current software is too expensive — 8 percent
8. Want better mobile or remote support — 5 percent
9. Want a specialty-specific solution — 4.5 percent
