The provisional suspension begins Sept. 11, at which point noncertified providers can call a toll-free hotline for Medicare Part B providers and suppliers to initiate temporary billing privileges.

The waived enrollment requirements include payment of the application fee, finger print-based criminal background checks, site visits and in-state licensure requirements.

Novitas Solutions, a Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Medicare Administrative Contractor, will assist the enrollment process.

The toll-free hotline telephone number is 1-855-247-8428, with hours of operation beginning at 8 a.m. and ending 6 p.m. ET.
