As language shifts to ACA 'repair,' Pence reaffirms commitment to 'repeal and replace'

Although some Republican lawmakers have begun to discuss a more tempered goal of "repairing" the ACA instead of tearing it down, Vice President Mike Pence on Thursday said the Trump administration is still committed to repealing and replacing it, reports The Hill.

"We are absolutely committed to follow through on President Trump's directive to repeal and replace ObamaCare and to have the Congress do it at the same time," Vice President Pence told Fox News host Sean Hannity, according to the report.

Meanwhile, some congressional Republicans have begun to speak up about concerns over the feasibility of fully repealing the ACA, according to the report.

House Republicans are currently working on a plan to repeal the law through budget reconciliation, and such legislation could come to a vote in the next couple of months, according to The Hill.
