After 4-year split, Roxborough Memorial Hospital and Aetna ink contract

Aetna and Roxborough Memorial Hospital in Philadelphia have reached a three-year deal, putting the hospital back in the health insurer's network for the first time since 2012.


Under terms of the contract, Aetna's commercial and Medicare Advantage members will receive in-network rates from Roxborough Memorial and its physicians.


"We're very happy to once again become an Aetna in-network provider," said Roxborough CEO Peter Adamo.


RoxboroughMemorialHospital is a 137-bed hospital owned by Ontario, Calif.-based Prime Healthcare Services.


The contract took effect Feb. 1.
