5 hospital CFOs in the headlines

Here are five hospital and health system CFOs who were in the news since Feb. 10.

1. W. Larry Cash, president of financial services and CFO of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems, was in the news as he will retire from his executive management positions and the company's board of directors on May 16.  

2. Lannie Checketts was in the news as he was appointed CFO of Boise, Idaho-based Saint Alphonsus Health System.

3. South Lake Tahoe, Calif.-based Barton Health CFO Dick Derby was in the news discussing health system consulting contracts.

4. Beth Ward was in the news as she was named executive vice president and CFO of Georgetown, S.C.-based Tidelands Health.

5. Terry Kiser, CFO of Tidelands Health, was in the news as he is retiring after serving as CFO of Tidelands since 1988.
