1. Boston-based Partners HealthCare Treasurer and CFO Peter K. Markell was in the news discussing the system's financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2017.

2. David Young was in the news as he was appointed CFO of Houston-based Nobilis Health, a healthcare development and management company.

3. Dan Fontaine, MD, executive vice president and CFO of University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, was in the news discussing how further costs reductions may be necessary if MD Anderson's financial health does not improve.
