UTMB to hold job fairs to staff Texas hospital

University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston said it will hold job fairs to fill positions at the newly named UTMB Clear Lake Campus Hospital, according to a Houston Chronicle report.

The hospital is slated to open in the spring at the former Webster, Texas-based Bay Area Regional Medical Center, which closed in May was taken over by UTMB in October.

UTMB said on its website career site a job fair for former BARMC employees is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 8 and 9 at the Clear Lake Campus Hospital, and one for the public is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Nov. 15 and 16 at the Hilton Galveston Island Resort. Additionally, a job fair is scheduled for summer 2018 nurse graduates 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 3 and 4 at the Holiday Inn Resort Galveston. A job fair for UTMB employees took place Nov. 5 and 6.

UTMB said staff members will be on hand to answer questions and conduct interviews.
