Americans’ confidence in finding or maintaining a job is nearing levels last seen at the start of the pandemic, LinkedIn’s latest Workforce Confidence survey shows.
The survey, conducted monthly by LinkedIn’s market research team, has polled a total of 507,395 U.S. professionals between April 1, 2020, and May 2, 2025, measuring job confidence on a scale from -100 to +100.
Active job seekers’ confidence in finding or keeping a job has decreased from +20 in January to +10 in April — the lowest level seen since April 2020, when confidence sat at +9.
The report cites economic uncertainty as a key factor affecting job confidence.
