The finding is from the latest jobs report, published Jan. 5, from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
Here are seven numbers from the report that illustrate healthcare’s job growth.
1. Healthcare added 37,700 jobs in December.
2. Last month, employment continued to trend up in ambulatory healthcare services (19,200) and hospitals (15,300).
3. Employment also increased in December in physician offices (5,400) and nursing and residential care facilities (3,200).
4. Overall, job growth in healthcare averaged 55,000 monthly last year, compared with a 46,000 average monthly gain in 2022.
