For the study, researchers examined findings from Glassdoor’s report “What’s Ahead for Jobs? Five Disruptions to Watch in 2018.” Based on an analysis of those findings, the Knowledge Academy determined the jobs expected to grow the most within the next eight years.
They are:
1. Home health and professional care aides — 1.18 million new jobs
2. Waiters, food service and cooks — 907,700 new jobs
3. Registered nurses — 437,000 new jobs
4. Software developers — 253,400
5. Janitors and cleaners — 233,000
6. Operations managers — 205,900
7. Medical assistants — 184,600
8. Nursing assistants — 164,000
