The industry added 30,400 jobs in July, similar to the 34,900 jobs healthcare added in June.
However, the growth last month was primarily from ambulatory healthcare services, which added 28,900 jobs. Hospitals lost 2,100 jobs in July, compared to the 11,200 they added in June.
Overall, healthcare employment has grown by 405,000 jobs in the last 12 months, about two-thirds of which were from ambulatory healthcare services, according to the bureau.
