St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., was ranked No. 2 overall across industries in Forbes‘ list of “America’s Dream Employers 2026.”

A total of 47 hospitals and health systems were featured on the list. The ranking was developed in partnership with market research firm Statista, which surveyed 10,000 U.S. college students and 140,000 U.S.-based professionals at companies with at least 1,000 employees.

College students were asked to identify and rate their dream employers on factors such as salary and growth opportunities. Employees were also asked about their dream employers and if they would recommend their current or previous employer. Current workers evaluated their organizations on elements such as wages, professional development and health benefits.

Data from the past three years was evaluated, with a strong weighting given to current employee responses. The 500 organizations with the highest scores made the list.
