To determine the best cities for jobs in the U.S., Wallethub’s analysts compared more than 180 U.S. cities, including the 150 most populated cities, across two dimensions — job market and socioeconomics — using 30 metrics. Each metric was graded on a 100-point scale, with a score of 100 representing the most favorable conditions for job seekers. Analysts then used each city’s weighted average across all metrics to calculate the city’s overall score.
