St. John’s Episcopal Hospital Initiates Layoffs

St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, a financially beleaguered hospital in Far Rockaway, N.Y., has begun laying off 40 to 50 employees, according to a report by The Forum.

The safety-net hospital has outsourced many of its clinics to address financial concerns, according to the report. St. John’s Episcopal is also considering possible mergers to stay afloat.
