Hospitals Made Marginal Job Gains in August

While the healthcare industry added 32,700 jobs last month, hospitals added just 900 in August, according to the most recent seasonally adjusted numbers from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Home healthcare services posted the largest job gains in the healthcare sector, adding 9,500 jobs.

Total nonfarm payroll employment increased by 169,000 jobs last month.
